Baptism

Before being baptized, a child should be taught that to be saved you must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, believe that He died and God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9) A candidate for baptism has also repented of his sin and placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. The desire to obey the Lord Jesus in this matter validates his conversion experience. Jesus said, “‘Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me’” (John 14:21a)

Jesus said,“‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’” (Matthew 19:14)
