Our Ministries

Men's Ministry

Mt. Calvary is dedicated to making more Men Disciples of Christ. We believe that Men should be the Christian examples in their homes, churches, community and everywhere else they go. Our motto is taken from Joshua 24:15, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Our goal is to teach Men to love God with all their heart and to love their wives, bring their children up in the nurturing and admonition of the Lord. Our goal is to also teach single Men to trust God's provision for their lives.

Youth Ministry

Our motto for the Youth Ministry is to "Train the children up in the way they should go. We offer a variety of activities for our Youth. Most important is Sunday school. We have classes for all age groups. We utilize bible stories, arts and crafts, interactive discussions, field trips and much more to prepare our children to be successful and live an abundant life in Jesus Christ. We encourage parents to learn with their children.

Baptism

Jesus said,“‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’” (Matthew 19:14)

Sunday School

We believe that Men, Women and Children should attend Sunday School because in Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus instructs us to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." We believe that learning is a life long process and we can benefit greatly by continuing to learn about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Women's Ministry

Our Women's Ministry is lead by our First Lady, Dr. Audrey Sorrells.

Wednesday Prayer Service

We believe in prayer. Prayer is our way to communicate to God through His Son Jesus Christ. The Bible says man must always pray and we firmly believe that prayer changes things for our good. We have prayer service every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm and we also sing praises to God. We teach our children to pray and allow them an opportunity to pray in the congregation if they choose to. We also have a Prayer Warriors Ministry that prays for every name that is submitted to them on a regular basis.

Transportation Service

We offer transportation to and from church for all of our services. All you have to do is call our transportation director in advance and schedule your pick up time. We especially reach out to the elderly and children who are not able to drive themselves.  If you would like to use this service, please call Deacon Desmond Aldridge at (512) 585-3263
